DevOps Engineer

Marlow Navigation shapes the future of maritime technology and operations by focusing on design and development to create products for the maritime industry.

• Design, implement, and manage Kubernetes clusters on AWS EKS for microservices-based applications;
• Maintain AWS services including RDS, EC2, and S3;
• Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines using ArgoCD and GitHub Actions;
• Implement monitoring and alerting solutions using Prometheus, Grafana, and ELK stack;
• Establish system observability by configuring logging, tracing, and metrics collection;
• Design and maintain Kafka clusters using Strimzi;
• Collaborate with development teams to troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure-related issues;
• Implement backup and disaster recovery strategies;
• Utilize Terraform for infrastructure as code to automate resource provisioning and management.

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field;
• Relevant experience in a DevOps role;
• Proficiency in Kubernetes administration and management;
• Extensive experience with AWS services (EKS, RDS, EC2, S3);
• Hands-on experience with GitHub Actions for CI/CD automation;
• Strong background in monitoring, alerting, and observability practices;
• Familiarity with microservices architecture and distributed systems;
• Experience with Kafka for scalable, real-time data pipelines;
• Solid understanding of backup and disaster recovery principles;
• Proficiency in Terraform and Helm Charts;
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills;
• Nice to have: AWS certification (e.g., AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, AWS Certified Solutions Architect), knowledge of Loki, CloudWatch, Jaeger, Alertmanager.
