cybersecurity engineer for network security

The company is a boutique IT consulting firm established in 2005 that specialises in Network Infrastructure, Security, Information Governance, and Business Continuity. It is a trusted partner of HPE, Microsoft, Sophos, Veeam, and 3CX.

• Take ownership of designing, implementing, and hardening network and security infrastructure for the company's clients;
• Work hands-on with next-generation firewalls, VPNs, and network protection technologies;
• Configure and secure infrastructure ranging from switching and routing basics to advanced threat prevention and cloud edge security.

• 2–3+ Years of experience in a similar role;
• Hands-on experience with NGFW and security policy management;
• Strong understanding of OSI/TCP-IP, NAT/PAT, DNS, DHCP, HTTP/S, FTP/SFTP, SMTP, SNMP, NTP, ICMP, and ARP;
• Knowledge of VLANs, trunking, STP/RSTP, port security, and static and dynamic routing;
• Experience with IPsec and SSL/TLS VPN technologies;
• Knowledge of TLS/SSL encryption, certificate management, and TLS inspection;
• Experience with web and email filtering, IPS/IDS, and NAC;
• Knowledge of DDoS protection and rate limiting;
• Strong troubleshooting skills;
• Ability to work independently;
• Intermediate+ English;
• Nice to have: familiarity with WAF, CASB, SASE/SSE, DLP.
