Cyber Security Engineer

PLANET S.A. is seeking a Senior Cyber Security Engineer to strengthen the cybersecurity team of a large organization in the energy sector. In this role, you will be responsible for security tools, lead critical projects, and act as a technical mentor in protecting the organization's digital environment.

• Maintenance, configuration and upgrade of the security infrastructure and monitoring systems.
• Coordination with external vendors/partners to implement and integrate new security solutions.
• Collaboration with the IT Systems / DevOps teams to integrate security controls into databases, applications and cloud infrastructure.
• Assessment of security gaps, prioritization of remediation actions based on risk, and implementation of hardening measures.
• Advancement of threat detection and response capabilities.
• Technical guidance and transfer of best practices to junior team members.
• Monitoring the threat landscape and evaluating new defensive technologies.

• At least 8 years of professional experience in IT security / security engineering roles
• Degree in Cyber Security, Computer Science or a related field (postgraduate degree preferred)
• Experience managing SIEM, WAF, XDR/EDR, Email Security and Database Activity Monitoring (DAM) systems
• Proven experience managing security solutions in an Azure environment
• Deep understanding of data protection, identity management (IAM) and endpoint security
• Experience managing relationships and deliverables with external vendors/partners
• Strong analytical thinking and experience handling complex security incidents
• Very good command of English

Desired qualifications

• Certifications: Security+, CC, AZ-500, SC-200, BTL1
• Knowledge of cloud environments, DevSecOps principles and CI/CD pipeline security
• Experience with enterprise tools in international corporate structures
