Compute platform engineer in virtualization

• Maintenance and updating of OpenStack and its associated services
• Operation and further development of the virtualization layer (KVM, QEMU and libvirt) to ensure stability and performance for all workloads
• Troubleshooting in OpenStack Nova and the hypervisor through in-depth analysis and upstream or internal bug fixes
• Collaboration with the bare-metal team on hypervisor OS image and kernel changes required for the virtualization layer

• Extensive experience with OpenStack in a production environment
• Extensive knowledge of Linux virtualization – KVM, QEMU and libvirt
• Hands-on experience operating infrastructure at large scale, with a focus on reliability and automation
• You are not afraid of working close to the hardware: kernel behavior, hypervisor internals and low-level debugging do not put you off
• Team player with an eye for the big picture
• Fluent spoken and written English
