Cyber security engineer in cloud infrastructure

We are looking for a Cybersecurity Engineer to join a Berlin-based technology company developing secure, scalable cloud and SaaS solutions for enterprise clients. The role focuses on protecting cloud infrastructure, applications and internal systems against cybersecurity threats. You will work closely with infrastructure, DevOps and software engineering teams to identify vulnerabilities, implement security controls and improve the organisation's overall security posture.

• Monitor, assess and improve the security of cloud infrastructure and enterprise applications.
• Identify and remediate vulnerabilities across networks, systems and software environments.
• Implement and maintain security monitoring, logging and threat detection solutions.
• Investigate security incidents and support containment, remediation and recovery.
• Configure and maintain security controls across AWS environments.
• Collaborate with DevOps and engineering teams to integrate security into development and deployment workflows.
• Develop Python-based scripts and automation tools for security operations.
• Contribute to security policies, risk assessments and compliance initiatives.

• Minimum 3 years of professional experience in cybersecurity or information security engineering.
• Strong knowledge of network security, cloud security and vulnerability management.
• Hands-on experience securing AWS environments.
• Experience with SIEM platforms, security monitoring and incident response.
• Proficiency in Linux environments and Python scripting.
• Understanding of IAM, security controls and common attack vectors.
• Ability to work onsite in Berlin, Germany.
• Professional working proficiency in English.
