Cloud engineer in infrastructure as code

• Design and develop reusable, parameterized Terraform modules to automate infrastructure provisioning;
• Manage remote state backends, implement state locking strategies and ensure infrastructure consistency and reliability;
• Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines to automate infrastructure provisioning, including controlled plan and apply workflows;
• Define and implement governance and security policies through Policy as Code frameworks such as Sentinel, OPA, Checkov and tfsec;
• Promote best practices for version control, code reviews and repository organization;
• Integrate provisioning processes with secrets management solutions such as HashiCorp Vault, AWS KMS and Azure Key Vault;
• Ensure the reproducibility, security and governance of cloud infrastructure throughout its lifecycle.

• At least 5 years of experience in cloud infrastructure engineering and operations;
• At least 3 years of hands-on experience with Terraform in production environments;
• Strong experience with Terraform (HCL), including state management, workspaces and module development;
• Solid knowledge of at least one of the major cloud platforms: AWS, Microsoft Azure or Google Cloud Platform (GCP);
• Experience with Git and modern branching strategies such as GitFlow or trunk-based development;
• Experience creating and maintaining CI/CD pipelines using tools such as GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps or Jenkins;
• Scripting skills with Bash and/or Python;
• Solid knowledge of networking, Identity and Access Management (IAM) and cloud security principles;
• Autonomy, a results-oriented approach and problem-solving skills;
• Good communication and technical documentation skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with development teams in a DevOps environment;
• Availability to work in a hybrid arrangement, 2 days per week at the office in the Lisbon Metropolitan Area;
• Fluency in spoken and written Portuguese and English.
