cloud engineer for tax applications

Zasta is a leading tax app in German app stores. Its software enables taxpayers to submit professional tax returns with minimal effort, while its platform works with tax advisors to help users achieve the best results without requiring tax expertise.

• Develop and operate the AWS and Kubernetes infrastructure;
• Automate infrastructure and deployments using Infrastructure as Code and modern CI/CD processes;
• Ensure the reliable operation of containerized applications and continuously evolve the platform;
• Own monitoring, logging, system stability, and performance;
• Collaborate closely with development and product teams and introduce cloud and DevOps best practices.

• Several years of experience building and operating modern AWS cloud infrastructures;
• Very good knowledge of Kubernetes, Docker, and Infrastructure as Code, such as Terraform;
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines, Linux systems, and Git-based development processes;
• Knowledge of operating relational databases and monitoring and logging cloud applications;
• Good understanding of networks, cloud security, and automation;
• Analytical, structured, and independent working style;
• Enjoyment of collaboration in interdisciplinary teams;
• Nice to have: Experience with Helm, Karpenter, or service mesh technologies, knowledge of Cloud Security and FinOps.

• 30 Days of vacation per year;
• Up to 4 consecutive weeks of working from within Europe;
• Office presence two days per week depending on location, with flexible joker days when attendance is not possible;
• Offices in Rostock and Berlin.
