Blockchain Investigator for financial crimes

• Identify exposure to illicit typologies and evaluate external threat intelligence referrals
• Document and map illicit networks, trace funds across blockchain networks, and use blockchain analytics tools
• Provide investigative support and insights to global MLROs to help complete cases
• Evaluate suspected wallet addresses against fraud typologies, make data-driven blacklisting decisions, and maintain interdiction controls
• Review transaction monitoring controls and rules for accuracy and effectiveness
• Review digital asset listings and provide risk insights; demonstrate understanding of on-chain exchange infrastructure
• Liaise between law enforcement and internal stakeholders to support anti-financial-crime initiatives
• Support regulatory inter-agency frameworks and on-chain controls related to FinCEN Section 314(b), global sanctions compliance, and FinCEN 311-related restrictions
• Train Financial Crimes team members on advanced blockchain investigation techniques, typology developments, and emerging threats

• At least 3 years of related experience in blockchain analytics, financial crimes investigations, AML compliance, transaction monitoring, or similar areas
• Strong understanding of crypto-specific financial crime threats, including fund movements on UTXO and account-based networks, job and investment scams, and cross-border fraud networks
• Proven expertise with on-chain forensics platforms and tools such as Chainalysis or TRM Labs
• Familiarity with digital asset compliance standards and regulations, including the PATRIOT ACT, FinCEN 311/314(b) guidelines, and global sanctions regimes
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex crypto and compliance issues to technical and non-technical audiences
