Azure security engineer for data and AI platforms

We're looking for an experienced Azure Security Engineer to join a high-profile cloud transformation programme focused on building and securing a modern Azure data and AI platform. This role will suit someone who enjoys getting hands-on with technology, working closely with engineering teams, and building security into solutions from day one rather than reviewing them afterwards.

• Embedding security across Azure-based data, application and AI services.
• Working closely with Developers, Data Engineers, AI Engineers and Architects to deliver secure solutions.
• Building security into CI/CD pipelines and Infrastructure as Code deployments.
• Strengthening identity, access management and cloud governance controls.
• Investigating vulnerabilities, improving security posture and driving remediation activities.
• Helping establish scalable, automated security practices that can be adopted across engineering teams.

• Strong hands-on Azure Security experience.
• Experience with Entra ID, RBAC, Key Vault, Azure Policy and private networking.
• A background in DevSecOps, including securing CI/CD pipelines and Infrastructure as Code.
• Experience with Terraform and/or Bicep.
• Knowledge of application and API security, authentication and access management.
• Scripting and automation skills using PowerShell, Python or Azure CLI.
• The ability to work collaboratively with technical teams and provide practical, engineering-focused security guidance.
