AWS platform engineer

In the Public Cloud Platform team you become part of a global team that works on establishing the right landing ground for new workloads on AWS to build upon. Your team consists out of 6 other AWS Cloud Platform Engineers that work on making a safe, compliant and consumable platform. You work together with other engineers and colleagues to help support the move from our current on-premise way of working to the AWS Cloud DevOps way of working while expanding the functionality of AWS platform.

• Use your AWS expertise to deliver expected work
• Deliver infrastructure as code while using AWS CDK
• Refactor existing source code repositories with Python
• Implement IT networking based on Network Security Perimeter standard
• Work on automated testing
• Migrate CI/CD pipeline to GitLab
• Expand AWS platform to other regions to follow business demands
• Help with migration of the workloads from on-premise to AWS cloud based on the roadmap delivered
• Collaborate with developers on software requirements

• Strong software engineering skills in Python(Python development experience)
• Expertise in AWS CDK
• AWS Serverless services (Step functions, Lambda, SNS)
• IT networking, CICD pipelines, automated testing
• GIT
• Good understanding of observability tooling (eg: Splunk)
