As an Architect Principal, Cybersecurity, you will shape secure designs for artificial intelligence (AI) agents used in FIS products and internal tools. You will review new solutions, identify security risks and guide teams towards practical controls before launch. You will work with security, engineering, product, technology and risk teams to help FIS innovate while protecting clients, data and trust.

• Design secure architectures and reference patterns for infrastructure, products and solutions that use AI agents.
• Lead threat modelling and security design reviews for AI features, then recommend practical fixes before launch.
• Review how agents verify identity, access data and tools, gain approval for actions, and record activity.
• Create clear security standards and reusable controls that engineering and product teams can adopt.
• Track new AI threats and frameworks, and mentor cybersecurity architects and engineers.

You will join the Enterprise Security Architecture team, which reviews infrastructure, products and solutions before they are introduced across FIS. As an Architect Principal, Cybersecurity, you will help teams build AI agents with security in mind from the start. Your guidance will support responsible innovation and help protect FIS clients, data and services.

• At least 10 years of cybersecurity experience, including work as a senior or principal architect designing secure systems for large, complex organisations.
• Hands-on experience securing AI and large language model systems against risks such as prompt injection, data leakage, excess access and unsafe tool use.
• Strong knowledge of identity, access control, data protection, approval, monitoring and logging for AI agents.
• Experience with agent frameworks or protocols such as Model Context Protocol (MCP), LangChain or similar tools.
• Ability to create practical security patterns aligned with NIST AI Risk Management Framework, OWASP Top 10 for Large Language Model Applications and ISO/IEC 42001, plus a relevant certification such as CISSP, CCSP, SABSA or a cloud security architecture certification.
• Experience designing secure cloud infrastructure in Amazon Web Services (AWS) or Microsoft Azure, including identity federation, least-privilege access, network segmentation, secrets management and data protection.
• Experience in financial services or another highly regulated industry.
• Knowledge of AI laws and governance requirements, such as the EU AI Act, and experience turning them into practical design controls.
