Java Developer

EPAM develops software products for enterprises, open-source solutions, and accelerators.

• Use Claude Code or a similar agentic AI coding tool daily for code generation, refactoring, debugging, and code explanation
• Provide clear project context, including CLAUDE.md, relevant files, and constraints, and iterate over multiple turns to obtain usable output
• Review and verify AI-generated code, recognize hallucinations, and validate outputs against requirements and existing patterns
• Understand business context and user needs to shape solution design
• Work independently on well-defined tasks with strong attention to code quality
• Apply clean code principles and best practices throughout development
• Collaborate with the team, incorporate feedback constructively, and communicate effectively
• Implement and maintain microservices and web services within the broader system architecture
• Participate actively in Agile ceremonies within a Scrum/Kanban team

• 2–4 Years of professional Java development experience
• Proficiency in the Spring framework (Core, MVC, Boot)
• Understanding of microservices architecture fundamentals
• Familiarity with messaging and event-streaming technologies such as Kafka, RabbitMQ, or Azure Event Hubs
• Skills in implementing WebServices (REST/SOAP)
• Understanding of Agile methodologies and experience working in a Scrum/Kanban team
• Good written and spoken English communication skills
• Proactive attitude toward problem-solving and continuous learning
• Будет плюсом: Familiarity with Azure or other cloud providers, exposure to Kubernetes or container orchestration
