Software Engineer Open Source AI

The opportunity focuses on creating realistic coding challenges and reproducible reinforcement learning environments to train next-generation AI systems.

• Create coding tasks based on realistic software engineering scenarios
• Build reproducible reinforcement learning environments with golden reference solutions
• Develop deterministic verifiers that accept valid solutions and reject incorrect ones
• Debug software defects and optimize performance across codebases
• Implement scalable, maintainable features and refactor legacy code
• Contribute code samples and technical insights using Python, Java, Rust, Go, C++, or TypeScript
• Document technical reasoning and solution approaches
• Review and validate code contributions for accuracy and quality

• Strong software engineering experience in at least one relevant language: Python, Java, Rust, Go, C++, or TypeScript
• Experience building scalable services and APIs
• Strong understanding of algorithms, data structures, and core computer science concepts
• Proficiency in debugging, automated testing, and performance optimization
• Experience with code review, bug fixing, and feature implementation
• Clear technical communication and problem-solving skills
• An open-source contribution history and a profile showcasing your work, or willingness to complete a HackerRank assessment
