задачи
- Design, develop, and maintain Linux kernel drivers for high-speed network devices.
- Implement and optimize data paths for low latency, high throughput, and efficient CPU utilization.
- Integrate drivers with the Linux networking stack.
- Work closely with hardware, firmware, and ASIC/FPGA teams to define register interfaces, bring up new silicon, and debug hardware/software issues.
- Debug and resolve complex kernel-level issues, including crashes, memory leaks, race conditions, and performance bottlenecks..
- Write unit, integration, and stress tests; support validation across different kernel versions and distributions.
- Mentor junior engineers, conduct code reviews, and contribute to design documentation and technical roadmaps.
требования
- 5+ years of professional experience in Linux kernel or device driver development.
- Strong proficiency in C programming; knowledge of scripting languages for tooling and testing is a plus.
- Strong proficiency with Git, including branching, rebasing, patch series preparation (git format-patch / git send-email), and resolving complex merges. Experience with the upstream Linux kernel contribution workflow and CI/CD practices; upstream contributions are highly desirable.
- Solid knowledge of networking fundamentals (Ethernet, TCP/IP, routing, switching, VLAN, QoS).
- Good understanding of high-performance and low-latency networking concepts (e.g., kernel bypass, offloading, zero-copy).
- Solid understanding of PCIe architecture, DMA, MSI-X interrupts, IOMMU, and Linux kernel memory management.
- Experience with the Linux networking stack and NIC driver development.
- Proficiency with kernel debugging tools.
- Experience with Git, the upstream kernel contribution workflow, and CI/CD practices; upstream contributions are highly desirable.
