• Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend applications using Ruby on Rails
• Collaborate with Product Managers to review requirements and translate specifications into technical solutions
• Prepare technical integration plans, development breakdowns, and effort estimates
• Implement new features and improve existing platform functionality
• Write clean, maintainable, well-tested production code
• Participate in pull requests, peer code reviews, and testing
• Troubleshoot application issues and improve reliability, performance, and scalability
• Contribute to technical decision-making and product roadmap discussions
• Experiment with technologies and approaches to improve product functionality and user experience
• Work with distributed engineering, infrastructure, and product teams

• 5+ Years of commercial experience as a Backend or Full-Stack Software Engineer
• Strong, recent hands-on Ruby on Rails experience in production
• Ability to independently design and implement complex backend features
• Experience with applications serving thousands or more monthly active users and understanding of reliable, scalable systems
• Experience in technology scale-ups, startups, or similarly agile environments; comfortable with changing priorities and tight deadlines
• Proven ability to take features from requirements through development, testing, and production
• Excellent spoken and written English
• Based in Europe, with CET ±3 hours working overlap
• Fully comfortable working on AI companionship products involving uncensored and NSFW content
