• Provide technical guidance and direction to support the business, technical teams, contractors, and vendors;
• Develop secure and high-quality production code;
• Review and debug code written by others;
• Drive decisions influencing product design, application functionality, and technical operations and processes;
• Serve as a function-wide subject matter expert in one or more focus areas;
• Advocate for firmwide frameworks, tools, and Software Development Life Cycle practices within the engineering community;
• Influence peers and project decision-makers to consider leading-edge technologies;
• Contribute to a diverse, inclusive, respectful, and opportunity-focused team culture.

• Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts and 5+ years of applied experience;
• Hands-on experience delivering system design, application development, testing, and operational stability;
• Advanced proficiency in one or more programming languages;
• Advanced knowledge of software applications and technical processes, with in-depth knowledge of one or more technical disciplines;
• Ability to solve design and functionality problems independently with little to no oversight;
• Practical cloud-native experience;
• Degree or experience in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Mathematics, or a related technical field;
• Nice to have: Expertise in React 17+ and modern front-end development practices, experience with AG Grid or similar advanced data grid libraries, web application performance and responsiveness optimization, experience handling high-frequency data updates in UI applications, application profiling and tuning knowledge, AI integration or cloud technologies, especially AWS, experience in fast-paced agile environments within financial services.
