React Developer

New Black develops EVA, a secure cloud-based Contextual Commerce platform that helps globally operating brands and retailers transform digital retail experiences, deliver flexible infrastructure, and improve consumer experiences through headless commerce.

• Build and maintain advanced, scalable React applications for headless commerce experiences;
• Lead the technical direction of customer projects through architecture and implementation decisions;
• Collaborate with designers, backend engineers, PMs, and clients to translate business needs into technical solutions;
• Own the full development lifecycle from design and architecture through testing, optimization, and deployment;
• Ensure code quality and adherence to best practices;
• Contribute to continuous improvement of development processes and tools;
• Stay current with emerging React technologies and best practices;
• Explore Agentic AI and create AI skills that solve problems more effectively.

• Hands-on experience with React and TypeScript;
• Ability to architect and build scalable web applications;
• Understanding of the full development lifecycle from conception to deployment;
• Experience writing unit and integration tests;
• Experience debugging complex issues and ensuring code quality across the stack;
• Understanding of headless commerce principles and API-first development;
• Strong knowledge of performance optimization for fast, responsive, and user-friendly applications under real-world load;
• Ability to make architectural decisions, mentor others, and set high standards for code and collaboration;
• Curiosity about AI and agentic development;
• Analytical and conceptual thinking skills;
• Ability to communicate solutions clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders;
• Fluent spoken and written English;
• Strong planning, organizational, and time management skills;
