Python developer für E-Commerce

eClear AG offers EU-wide customs and VAT clearing as an embedded checkout solution for marketplaces and digital platforms in e-commerce. Our cloud-based solutions automate and significantly simplify all tax, customs and payment processes in cross-border online trade.

• Lead the design and development of robust, scalable backend services based on Python.
• Design and develop RESTful APIs and microservices for reliable and flexible applications.
• Design, implement and maintain efficient data pipelines and processing workflows.
• Work hands-on with complex datasets and transform raw data into meaningful, useful insights.
• Work closely with interdisciplinary teams to translate ideas into working, practical solutions.
• Ensure high code quality through reviews, tests and proven engineering practices.
• Take responsibility for the entire process: monitor, analyze and optimize systems, and pragmatically and hands-on resolve short-term challenges when needed.

• Master's degree in computer science, data science or a related field, as well as at least 5 years of practical professional experience.
• Very good knowledge of Python and the ability to develop and continuously improve production-ready systems.
• Extensive experience with REST APIs, microservices architectures and modern backend design.
• Good understanding of data pipelines, data processing and working with databases (e.g. PostgreSQL, Neo4j).
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS is an advantage).
• Proactive, solution-oriented mindset, strong communication skills and the ability to work in dynamic environments (German language skills at B2 level required).
