PHP engineer in logistics

Our client is building a high-performance logistics platform for real-time order dispatch, driver routing, and delivery tracking. We’re looking for a Strong Senior PHP Engineer (Laravel) to help push performance boundaries and design distributed systems that run 24/7.

• AI-first development is required.
• Candidates must actively use AI agents to generate and develop code as part of their daily workflow.
• 5+ years of professional PHP development (PHP 7/8.1+).
• 3+ years of Laravel experience in production environments.
• Production experience with real-time systems (WebSockets, Server-Sent Events, or long polling).
• Production experience with message queues (RabbitMQ/Kafka/SQS) for handling order dispatch pipelines.
• Production experience with Redis for caching and real-time data.
• Production experience with MySQL optimized for high read/write volumes.
• RESTful API design for APIs handling 1000+ RPS, with proper rate limiting and fault tolerance.
• Unit, integration, and feature tests are standard (80%+ coverage expected).
• Ability to architect distributed systems and explain CAP theorem trade-offs.
• OOP/SOLID principles: maintainable code that scales with team growth.
• Git workflows: PR reviews, branching strategies, CI/CD pipelines.
• Proficiency with modern AI coding tools (Cursor, GitHub Copilot, Claude/ChatGPT/Gemini) for productivity and rapid prototyping.
• Delivered at least 2 production systems handling time-sensitive operations.
• Performance optimization on real traffic (database indexing, query optimization, caching).
• Handled systems processing 5K+ transactions/hour.
• Experience with concurrent operations—race conditions, locking, idempotency.
• Production debugging: troubleshooting live issues using logs, APM tools, and metrics.
• Participated in code reviews, giving and receiving constructive feedback.
• Explain technical trade-offs clearly to teammates and product managers.
• Ship working solutions and iterate based on real data.
• Take responsibility for your services (code, tests, monitoring).
• Work within the backend team and partner with mobile/ops/data/frontend teams.
• Debug production issues methodically under pressure.
