node.js developer for retail e-commerce

EPAM is delivering a contact-center transformation initiative for a retail e-commerce platform selling connected consumer devices. The program is building self-service customer journeys for digital returns, order cancellations, and appointments.

• Design, build, and test AWS-based backend services supporting the customer journeys;
• Integrate new services with existing client systems and internal APIs;
• Operate within a Scrum delivery model, including sprint planning, refinement, and daily standups;
• Use CI/CD via GitHub Actions for build and deployment;
• Collaborate with Salesforce developers and QA engineers on the same team.

• 5+ Years of experience with Node.js and TypeScript;
• Proven hands-on expertise in serverless architecture using AWS-native patterns and services;
• Hands-on experience with AWS Lambda, SQS, EventBridge, and Step Functions;
• Familiarity with AWS S3, DynamoDB, and RDS;
• Practical skills in Git or similar version control systems;
• Experience working in an Agile/Scrum environment;
• Proven track record of delivering robust, scalable, and maintainable systems;
• Strong verbal and written communication skills and effective team collaboration;
• High attention to detail with the ability to work independently and proactively;
• English level B2 or higher;
• Nice to have: Knowledge of Apollo Server, understanding of GraphQL.
