node.js developer for HR workflows

• Build and improve core HR workflows in Node.js, including rules-heavy domains such as country-specific time-off policies;
• Design, build, and maintain scalable backend services for organizations of all sizes;
• Improve the performance, reliability, and maintainability of existing features;
• Refactor and modernize the platform while ensuring a seamless experience for existing customers;
• Occasionally contribute to frontend development in React when it supports the best customer experience;
• Collaborate with engineers, Product Managers, QA, and designers to solve customer problems and deliver product improvements;
• Participate in code reviews, technical discussions, and knowledge sharing;
• Contribute to technical decision-making and architectural discussions;
• Help spread knowledge and support teammates through collaboration and mentorship.

• Extensive experience designing and building scalable backend applications with Node.js;
• Experience with React or interest in contributing across the stack when needed;
• Senior-level engineering judgment when refactoring, optimizing, and choosing pragmatic solutions;
• Product mindset and ability to work with evolving requirements, balance technical quality with customer impact, and make pragmatic trade-offs;
• Curiosity and flexibility when learning new technologies and stepping outside the primary area of expertise;
• Strong communication skills;
• Fluent English.
