node.js developer for app discovery

• Design, build, and maintain highly scalable Node.js (NestJS) RESTful APIs and distributed systems;
• Ensure seamless frontend integration and drive long-term architectural improvements;
• Champion clean, testable code standards;
• Mentor engineers through code reviews and pair programming;
• Monitor system reliability and resolve bottlenecks;
• Manage containerized application lifecycles;
• Partner with DevOps to optimize CI/CD pipelines;
• Partner with Product, Design, and QA to translate requirements into robust technical specifications;
• Communicate technical constraints clearly to non-technical stakeholders.

• 5+ Years of software engineering experience with a strong focus on Node.js and modern frameworks such as NestJS;
• Excellent system design skills and solid understanding of backend architecture, RESTful APIs, and distributed systems;
• Experience with cloud platforms: GCP preferred; AWS or Azure acceptable;
• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform, and Helm;
• Proficiency with relational databases such as PostgreSQL;
• Proficiency with NoSQL databases such as Redis;
• Proficiency with message queues such as RabbitMQ, GCP Pub/Sub, and Redis Pub/Sub;
• Hands-on React experience and ability to implement basic UI features for internal tools independently;
• Strong communication and collaboration skills in a fast-paced team environment;
• English at Upper-Intermediate or higher level (B2/B2+, written and spoken);
• Nice to have: experience in a B2C startup scaled to millions of users, basic proficiency in Go and ability to read, write, and maintain basic Go services.
