.NET developer

We're supporting a leading international bank on a large-scale cloud transformation programme. As part of this initiative, the organisation is modernising a critical legacy platform by breaking down monolithic applications into scalable, cloud-native microservices running on AWS. This is a hands-on engineering role for an experienced .NET professional who enjoys application modernisation, cloud migration, and building resilient distributed systems.

• Analyse and decompose legacy monolithic applications into modern microservices
• Design, develop, and maintain backend services using .NET 8/.NET Core and C#
• Support the migration of applications and services to AWS
• Build and optimise RESTful APIs and backend integrations
• Design cloud-native solutions focusing on scalability, resilience, and performance
• Work with SQL databases and data migration activities
• Contribute to Infrastructure as Code and cloud automation initiatives
• Participate in architecture discussions, code reviews, and technical decision-making
• Collaborate with globally distributed teams across multiple time zones

• Strong hands-on experience with C# and .NET Core / .NET 8
• Proven expertise in building and supporting microservices architectures
• Solid experience with AWS cloud services
• Strong SQL and database development experience
• Experience delivering application modernisation or cloud migration projects
• Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform preferred)
• Experience designing and consuming REST APIs
• Good understanding of distributed systems and cloud-native architectures
• Experience working in Agile delivery environments
• Strong English communication skills
