• Build, run, and evolve the API gateway and routing layer connecting engineers and client workloads to multiple LLM providers, including failover and routing strategies;
• Design and build orchestration and lifecycle management for AI capabilities and agents;
• Build tooling that enables teams to register, discover, and reuse capabilities;
• Implement and maintain RBAC/OIDC access controls and API key lifecycle management;
• Build caching layers and cost and latency optimisation strategies;
• Build adoption and reuse analytics for the platform;
• Contribute to API design, versioning, and promotion workflows as capabilities move from experimental to production;
• Help ensure that agents and capabilities are well-governed, auditable, and safe to scale.

• Proficiency in Python or Go with production experience appropriate to the level;
• Production experience running API gateways, with Kong preferred and Envoy or Apigee accepted;
• Experience integrating with multiple LLM providers, including failover and routing strategies;
• Understanding of RBAC/OIDC and disciplined API key lifecycle management;
• Nice to have: Familiarity with or interest in MCP or comparable service-registry patterns.
