JSM migration engineer

The team guides enterprise clients through migrations from ServiceNow to Atlassian Jira Service Management, delivering seamless ITSM platform transitions with minimal business disruption.

• Assess clients’ existing ServiceNow instances and design migration roadmaps to JSM
• Architect ETL processes to securely and accurately migrate historical tickets, assets, users, and attachments from ServiceNow to JSM
• Configure JSM projects, request types, automation rules, SLAs, and queues to match or improve upon ServiceNow functionality
• Re-establish or integrate third-party tools, CI/CD pipelines, and monitoring systems with the new JSM environment
• Conduct end-to-end testing, UAT, and data validation to ensure zero data loss and functional parity
• Collaborate with client IT teams, project managers, and end-users, providing technical guidance, training, and best-practice advice for Atlassian ITSM adoption

• 3+ Years of hands-on experience administering and configuring Jira Service Management and ServiceNow
• Proven success leading at least 1–2 end-to-end migrations from ServiceNow to JSM
• Deep knowledge of ITSM processes: Incident, Problem, Change, and Request Management
• Proficiency in Atlassian Cloud or Data Center administration, automation rules, and Jira REST APIs
• Experience with ServiceNow tables, Business Rules, Script Includes, and data export/import in JSON, XML, or CSV
• Proficiency in Python, JavaScript, or Groovy for data manipulation and automation
• Excellent client-facing communication, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills
