• Break larger product requirements into smaller deliverable stories and work independently as a strong addition to the team
• Own end-to-end delivery of features and initiatives, from inception through production release and support
• Collaborate with peers to shape the future architecture of the platforms
• Share knowledge and expertise with team members
• Identify and initiate technical improvements and simplifications
• Present, document, and discuss larger changes with the team
• Maintain and improve code quality over time
• Design REST APIs and Avro protocols with schema evolution
• Develop using Docker, Kubernetes, Helm, and GitLab CI/CD pipelines

• Excellent written and spoken English communication skills
• Proficiency with AI development tools and techniques, such as GitHub Copilot and Microsoft Copilot within M365
• Desire to experiment, innovate, and push boundaries
• 5+ Years of server-side Java development experience
• Experience designing and building robust, scalable, highly available distributed systems in an enterprise environment
• Experience applying Domain-Driven Design (DDD) principles and modeling business domains with business stakeholders
• Strong knowledge of Apache Kafka, Spring, and Spring Boot
• Understanding of reactive programming, message ordering, and idempotency paradigms
• Experience designing event-driven and streaming architectures, including CQRS and read models
• Experience with cloud technologies, preferably Microsoft Azure
• Interest in DevOps as an end-user of existing solutions, including modifying or adopting them
