The company provides IT system and custom software development services. The role supports an international client through a small development team working in a microservices landscape.

• Develop and maintain microservices and REST APIs using Java 21 and Spring Boot;
• Implement event-driven communication between microservices via Azure Event Hub;
• Deploy and manage applications on Kubernetes (AKS);
• Write automated tests using Testcontainers, WireMock, Mockito and MockMVC, including Kafka tests;
• Apply hexagonal architecture, SOLID and DDD principles;
• Contribute to infrastructure as code with Terraform.

• 3–5 Years of experience as a Java developer;
• Bachelor’s/master’s level of thinking;
• Experience with Spring Boot and building REST APIs;
• Understanding of event-driven systems, including Kafka, Event Hub, DLQ, message retry, message ordering and idempotency;
• Knowledge of or interest in Kubernetes/AKS;
• Understanding of microservices architecture and related communication, consistency and deployment challenges;
• Curiosity about how systems work under the hood, such as Kafka serde;
• Interest in monitoring, deployments and rollback strategies;
• Ability to work independently and actively collaborate within a small team.
