java developer for Rates Intraday Risk

• Analyze business requirements with Flow Rates trading desks and quants, and provide solutions to meet traders’ needs
• Develop and maintain server-side processes and APIs for the Onyx Risk system, which provides intraday risk and P&L to the Rates business
• Contribute to the platform’s strategic re-architecture and modernisation from design through implementation and rollout

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent
• Experience as a Java developer and good knowledge of Java frameworks, including Spring
• Understanding of the software development lifecycle, version control, unit testing, and build tools, including JUnit, Maven, Jenkins, and Git
• Experience developing tools for the front office and familiarity with financial products, preferably interest rate products, and market risk concepts
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills and strong personal initiative
