Java Developer

Altkom Software delivers modern technology solutions for leading financial institutions in Poland and abroad. The company develops applications that support insurance appraisers and improve claims-processing operations, while using AI to increase efficiency and build new capabilities.

• Collaborate with the client during project delivery;
• Design solutions and implement user interface layers and business application logic;
• Manage knowledge and quality through code reviews and supporting knowledge and skill sharing within the team;
• Develop products created by the company;
• Collaborate with other team members.

• Have at least 2 years of commercial programming experience and experience with microservices architecture;
• Design and program in Java;
• Have basic experience with Angular;
• Work daily with Spring, including Framework, Boot, and MVC;
• Know relational databases, SQL, and PL/SQL;
• Be willing to work with Docker, Ansible, Apache Camel, Elasticsearch, Kafka, and IBM MQ;
• Have experience working with agile methodologies;
• Be willing to learn new technologies and share knowledge;
• Be a team player;
• Have strong communication skills;
• Be goal-oriented, persistent, and resourceful;
• Nice to have: insurance industry experience, experience using AI technologies in development, knowledge of container applications such as Kubernetes, knowledge of SOLID, DRY, and Clean Code principles.
