Java Developer

Deutsche Bank Technology is a global team of technology specialists supporting financial services innovation across trading hubs and technology centres. Its Core Trading Technology domain develops advanced, low-latency electronic trading platforms for Fixed Income and Currencies, integrated with market venues and internal analytics.

• Work on business and functional requirements, technical analysis, and design;
• Prototype new features, meet business needs, and solve challenging technical problems;
• Contribute to defining the future state of system architecture;
• Review team members’ code and mentor junior developers;
• Lead a sub-team when required;
• Collaborate with the QA team on test automation;
• Collaborate with DevOps on continuous SDLC and environment management improvements.

• Strong mathematical skills and knowledge of algorithms and complexity;
• Excellent knowledge of core Java, including collections, multithreading, and networking;
• At least 5 years of experience with core Java;
• Experience implementing fault-tolerant and load-balancing solutions;
• Experience optimizing the performance of multithreaded Java applications;
• Good knowledge of Linux;
• Basic knowledge of SQL relational database solutions;
• Good knowledge of messaging solutions;
• Good written and spoken English.
