Java Developer

EPAM develops enterprise software products, open source solutions, and accelerators.

• Design, develop, test, and maintain Java-based applications while following engineering best practices;
• Analyze project requirements, estimate tasks, and support technical design decisions;
• Collaborate with global teams on technical solutions, code reviews, and Confluence documentation;
• Troubleshoot system issues, identify root causes, and implement effective fixes;
• Participate in Agile ceremonies, including daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and retrospectives;
• Drive system improvements, code quality, and overall performance optimization.

• Proven software development experience and a strong foundation in computer science;
• Hands-on expertise with Java, Spring, Spring Boot, REST APIs, Git, and Maven;
• Solid understanding of object-oriented programming, design patterns, and data structures;
• Experience with relational databases such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, or MSSQL, or with NoSQL databases;
• Familiarity with microservices architecture and core cloud or CI/CD concepts, including Jenkins and Jira;
• English at B2 level or higher;
• Practical expertise with AI coding assistants and SDLC tools such as GitHub Copilot, Cursor, Codeium, or Amazon Q Developer in real engineering workflows.
