Java backend developer for telecom product catalogs

For a project for a large client in the telecommunications industry, we are looking for a Java Backend Developer (Mid/Senior) who will be responsible for creating and developing backend applications that provide an API for a telecommunications product catalog. The role focuses on developing solutions in Java and Spring Boot, designing REST APIs, integrating systems, and working in a Kubernetes environment.

• Designing, developing, and maintaining REST APIs and business logic
• Creating backend applications in Java and Spring Boot
• Designing API contracts and documenting them in OpenAPI/Swagger
• Integrating applications with databases and external systems
• Implementing API authentication and authorization mechanisms
• Creating unit and integration tests
• Code review, performance optimization, and troubleshooting
• Collaborating with analysts, architects, and the DevOps team
• Participating in deploying and maintaining applications in a Kubernetes environment

• Commercial programming experience in Java and knowledge of Java
• Practical knowledge of Spring Boot / Spring Framework
• Experience designing and implementing REST APIs
• Knowledge of Spring Security, OAuth2/OIDC, and JWT
• Knowledge of SQL and relational databases
• Experience with OpenAPI/Swagger
• Knowledge of Git and Maven
• Ability to create automated tests using JUnit, Mockito, or Testcontainers
• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes, including deploying and basic application troubleshooting
• Ability to work independently on tasks and collaborate with technical teams
• Practical ability to use AI tools when creating and testing code
