Java backend developer for banking systems

We are looking for an experienced Java Backend Developer to join a team responsible for developing and maintaining key backend systems in the banking sector. The person in this role will be responsible for designing, developing and optimizing Java-based solutions, as well as integrating systems and ensuring high code quality. The role involves close collaboration with business analysts, IT architects and other technical teams to deliver efficient, scalable and reliable solutions.

• Designing, developing and maintaining backend applications in Java.
• Writing high-quality, efficient and readable code.
• Designing and documenting technical solutions.
• Developing and integrating systems using REST API, SOAP, JSON and XML.
• Working with relational databases and creating and optimizing SQL queries.
• Developing solutions based on microservices architecture.
• Preparing and performing unit tests.
• Analyzing and solving technical problems.
• Collaborating with business analysts, IT architects and development teams.
• Contributing to improvements in code quality and software development processes.

• Commercial experience in programming backend applications in Java.
• Good or very good knowledge of relational databases and SQL.
• Ability to create and optimize SQL queries.
• Knowledge of designing database structures, tables and indexes.
• Knowledge of database transactions and locks.
• Practical knowledge of system integration using REST, SOAP, JSON, XML and XSD.
• Knowledge of microservices architecture.
• Experience working with Jira and Confluence.
• Ability to write unit tests.
• Ability to prepare technical documentation.
• Knowledge of English sufficient to read and write technical documentation.
• Independence, analytical thinking and the ability to collaborate effectively in a team.
• Будет плюсом: Knowledge of Apache Kafka; Experience conducting code reviews and refactoring code; Knowledge of design and architectural patterns; Experience designing solutions using Enterprise Architect or UML; Experience in projects delivered for the banking or financial sector
