• Build high-quality iOS software;
• Own the technical direction of the iOS platform;
• Mentor developers and raise engineering standards;
• Act as the technical voice for iOS across the business;
• Work with Product, Design, Backend and QA teams to deliver secure, scalable and intuitive mobile experiences;
• Define best practices for architecture, code quality and release management;
• Own the entire iOS development lifecycle from feature design and architecture reviews through App Store releases, performance optimisation and continuous improvements to the development pipeline;
• Conduct hands-on collaboration and code reviews;
• Build robust networking layers with resilient error handling, retry strategies, authentication flows and token refresh mechanisms;
• Write unit and UI tests and contribute to a strong engineering culture through meaningful code reviews;
• Set up or improve iOS CI/CD pipelines;
• Manage provisioning profiles, TestFlight releases and the complete App Store submission process;
• Implement secure authentication and storage;
• Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks using Instruments, memory profiling, ARC analysis and retain cycle detection.

• At least six years of commercial iOS development experience;
• Extensive experience building production applications with Swift;
• Expert-level knowledge of UIKit;
• Strong commercial experience developing user interfaces with SwiftUI;
• Experience with Swift Concurrency (async/await) and Combine;
• Strong understanding of software architecture and experience with MVVM, VIPER and Clean Architecture;
• Experience building networking layers with URLSession or Alamofire, REST APIs and WebSocket connections;
• Experience writing unit and UI tests with XCTest;
• Practical experience setting up or improving iOS CI/CD pipelines using Fastlane, GitLab CI or Xcode Cloud;
• Experience with Keychain, Secure Enclave, Face ID, Touch ID, certificate pinning, encryption best practices and mobile application security principles;
• Ability to make decisions in fast-moving product environments and balance technical excellence with commercial priorities;
• Experience driving architectural decisions, improving engineering standards and mentoring developers;
• Nice to have: The Composable Architecture (TCA), Firebase Analytics, Crashlytics, Remote Config, Push Notifications, Deep Links, Universal Links, Swift Package Manager, modular architectures, offline synchronisation, Payment SDKs, KYC SDK integrations, SwiftLint, SonarQube, GitHub Copilot, Cursor, experience in fintech, payments, banking or digital assets.
