Axel Springer Tech is the central technical hub supporting journalism with advanced technology. Its mobile team develops Germany’s leading news apps, including BILD News, Sport BILD, WELT News, and WELT Edition, serving millions of users every month.

• Take ownership of building and evolving top-rated iOS apps using Swift 6, SwiftUI, The Composable Architecture, Combine, Swift Package Manager, and iOS 17+;
• Design and implement modular, scalable, and future-ready app architecture focused on performance, reliability, and maintainability;
• Drive the ongoing migration to TCA-based feature modules;
• Champion automation and quality across build, testing, and release processes using fastlane and GitHub Actions;
• Coach and mentor teammates, lead by example in code quality and reviews, and facilitate knowledge-sharing across iOS teams;
• Contribute to the backend integration layer using Spring Boot/Kotlin-based services on AWS with Docker and Kubernetes;
• Shape features, improve collaboration, and ensure user-focused releases.

• At least 8 years of hands-on experience as an iOS Developer;
• Experience shipping several large-scale, real-world iOS applications;
• Deep knowledge of Swift 6, SwiftUI, UIKit, Combine, async/await, and Swift Concurrency;
• Strong experience with The Composable Architecture or similar unidirectional architectures such as Redux, Elm, or MVI;
• Ability to build modular, testable, and maintainable features;
• Experience with Swift Package Manager, feature modules, and establishing clear component boundaries;
• Experience with fastlane and GitHub Actions;
• Ability to write clean, test-driven code;
• Experience contributing to open-source projects;
• Ability to work effectively in a diverse, cross-functional environment and share knowledge;
• Ability to communicate effectively with designers, product managers, and backend teams;
• Nice to have: Interest or experience in backend development with Spring Boot/Kotlin, AWS, Docker, and Kubernetes.
