Buymie is an Armenian/Irish co-founded technology company that provides grocery delivery services across Ireland. Its online marketplace connects customers with personal shoppers who purchase and deliver items from local stores, using data-driven insights to improve the online shopping experience and adapt operations and technology.

• Write clean, concise, maintainable, stable, and extensible code;
• Ensure application performance, quality, and responsiveness, and resolve production issues;
• Communicate effectively with engineers, product managers, and the creative team;
• Evaluate and implement new technologies to improve development efficiency;
• Identify and resolve bottlenecks, performance issues, and bugs;
• Translate designs and wireframes into functional iOS applications;
• Apply modern iOS development practices and keep up with mobile technology trends;
• Implement Apple’s Human Interface Guidelines with a focus on UI and user experience;
• Estimate task complexity and independently manage medium to large features and bug fixes;
• Work with engineering teams to design, develop, test, and deliver mobile features;
• Contribute to code reviews, technical discussions, and improvements to development practices.

• A degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent experience;
• More than 5 years of iOS development experience;
• Strong knowledge of software development principles, architecture, and design patterns;
• Proficiency in Swift and solid understanding of Objective-C;
• In-depth knowledge of the iOS SDK, UIKit, SwiftUI, and different iOS versions;
• Understanding of the mobile development lifecycle, UI/UX principles, and Apple’s Human Interface Guidelines;
• Experience with third-party libraries, frameworks, and APIs, including Firebase, networking libraries, analytics, and payment SDKs;
• Knowledge of iOS Clean Architecture and MVVM;
• Experience with modern Swift features, memory management, concurrency, and asynchronous programming;
• Experience with REST APIs, JSON, networking, and backend service integration;
• Familiarity with dependency injection, unit testing, and UI testing;
• Experience with Git and standard software development workflows;
• Good English language skills, both written and spoken;
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently;
• Nice to have: A demonstrable portfolio of iOS and iOS-related apps.
