HelloFresh operates a global platform that provides meal kit services to millions of customers. The Food Systems Alliance team develops tools and systems to power menu planning, consolidating market-specific solutions into a unified global ecosystem that integrates data, automation, and decision-support tooling.

• Design, build, and maintain backend services and internal products for menu planning and operational decision-making;
• Contribute to the development of a global platform for menu planners across multiple markets;
• Drive automation initiatives to improve the efficiency and scalability of planning processes;
• Collaborate with Product Managers, Engineers, Data teams, and business stakeholders to translate requirements into reliable solutions;
• Work with large, interconnected datasets to support recommendation, planning, and optimization use cases;
• Participate in code reviews, technical discussions, and the establishment of engineering best practices;
• Take ownership of problems from discovery through implementation and continuous improvement.

• Proficiency in Go or experience in other backend ecosystems with a willingness to work primarily in Go;
• Solid software engineering fundamentals, including API design, testing, debugging, and writing maintainable code;
• Experience working with relational databases like PostgreSQL and writing efficient SQL queries;
• Familiarity with cloud-native development, Kubernetes, Terraform, CI/CD pipelines, and observability practices;
• Proactive, self-driven approach to problem-solving and ability to navigate ambiguity;
• Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset;
• Experience using AI-powered tools to enhance software development workflows;
• Nice to have: React or other modern frontend technologies.
