• Design and build the server-side foundation for transitioning Castle Busters from a client-authoritative game to a competitive, server-validated game;
• Build server-side validation for the metagame, including currency, card upgrades, chest opens, and progression;
• Replicate economy and reward logic on the server, staged by risk;
• Move toward server authority for competitive features so that game state is centralized and trusted;
• Design APIs and player-state management for Unity client integration;
• Help define the division of responsibilities between the client and server;

• 7+ Years of backend development experience;
• Strong knowledge of computer science fundamentals;
• At least 1 year of professional Golang experience;
• Mastery of SQL and NoSQL;
• Experience with high-scale systems;
• Understanding of Unix-like environments;
• Experience working in cross-functional agile teams;
• Strong analytical skills and a track record of solving complex scalability, performance, and integration problems in high-stakes environments;
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills;
