• Analyze functional and non-functional requirements and translate them into technical solutions
• Design maintainable application components and contribute to architectural decisions
• Review existing code and other developers’ contributions
• Develop front-end website architecture and design user interactions on web pages
• Develop back-end applications and implement core business logic
• Apply secure development practices, including input validation, authentication and authorization, secrets and dependency management, protection against common web vulnerabilities, secure logging, and appropriate handling of sensitive data
• Optimize web applications for performance and functionality across browsers and devices
• Design responsive applications and scalable software
• Design and develop REST and SOAP APIs
• Maintain code integrity and organization, and write clean, functional front-end and back-end code
• Write automated unit, integration, and, where appropriate, end-to-end tests
• Use application monitoring, structured logging, and tracing to diagnose production and non-production issues
• Participate in deployment, release, and support activities
• Diagnose application, database, integration, and performance issues across the full stack
• Design applications with appropriate consideration for security, maintainability, observability, scalability, and performance
• Analyze data, processes, configuration, dependencies, and code to troubleshoot problems and identify areas for improvement
• Perform unit and integration testing; debug, fix, and validate code changes
• Deliver solutions that fulfil functional and non-functional requirements and align with user expectations
• Write technical documentation
• Develop and maintain features across the entire stack, from user interfaces and API consumption to server-side business logic and database interactions
• Deploy and manage applications on cloud platforms using CI/CD pipelines and containerization technologies
• Ensure coherent integration between front-end, back-end, API, database, and deployment components, collaborating with developers, architects, DevOps, and security specialists

• Strong hands-on experience with Java, Spring, and Spring Boot, including REST API development and server-side business logic
• Strong hands-on experience with at least one modern JavaScript/TypeScript front-end framework, preferably Angular
• Strong knowledge of HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript/TypeScript, and responsive web design
• Strong experience with relational databases, preferably PostgreSQL and/or Oracle, including SQL, JPA, data modelling, and query optimization
• Practical experience with Docker, CI/CD pipelines, and deploying applications to containerized or cloud environments
• Experience designing and securing REST APIs using OAuth 2.0/OpenID Connect, with OpenAPI documentation
• Good understanding of common web application security risks and mitigation techniques, including the OWASP Top 10
• Strong Git experience
• Experience with AI-assisted software-development tools
• Ability to quickly ramp up on new projects and collaborate within teams
• Ability to participate in multilingual meetings and communicate with ease
• Ability to apply security and cloud best practices
• Proficiency in integrating front-end and back-end builds into CI/CD pipelines
• Ability to work both in a team and autonomously, with a results-oriented delivery focus
• English proficiency required; French is an additional asset
