full stack developer for a European technology platform

The client is building and scaling a European technology platform used by millions of people.

• Design and deliver backend microservices;
• Build modern frontend applications;
• Work closely with Product, Design, QA and DevOps across the full development lifecycle;
• Own what you build and run;
• Contribute to technical and architectural decisions in a cross-functional team.

• 5+ Years of professional software engineering experience across backend and frontend;
• Strong commercial Java, ideally Java 17+, and Spring Boot experience, including Spring Data JPA and Spring Security;
• Strong commercial React and TypeScript experience, including hooks, functional components, and state management with Redux Toolkit, Context API or Zustand;
• Experience designing and building microservices and distributed systems;
• Solid RESTful API design skills;
• Good understanding of relational databases, ideally PostgreSQL, including schema design and query optimisation;
• Experience with event-driven or asynchronous architectures such as Kafka, RabbitMQ, or AWS SNS/SQS;
• Familiarity with Domain-Driven Design concepts, including bounded contexts, aggregates, and domain events;
• Backend and frontend testing experience with JUnit, Mockito, and unit/component testing;
• Strong communication skills;
• Nice to have: Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD pipelines, cloud platforms such as AWS, observability tooling such as Prometheus/Grafana/Datadog, OpenAPI/Swagger, contract testing, React Native.
