Full Stack Developer

RubyDeveloper.nl develops software and digital products, including scalable web applications.

• Design, build, and maintain efficient, reusable, and reliable Ruby on Rails backend code and dynamic frontend features;
• Help shape the technical architecture to ensure application performance, responsiveness, and scalability;
• Collaborate with product managers, UI/UX designers, and engineers to translate functional requirements into technical solutions;
• Participate in code reviews and write automated tests using RSpec or Minitest;
• Promote software engineering best practices;
• Identify bottlenecks, debug bugs, and optimize application performance and security.

• Proven experience developing web applications with Ruby on Rails;
• Solid knowledge of modern JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3, and modern JavaScript frameworks such as React, Vue, Hotwire, or Stimulus;
• Strong experience with relational databases such as PostgreSQL or MySQL and ORM tools such as ActiveRecord;
• Experience with automated testing frameworks such as RSpec;
• Experience with Git version control;
• Proactive, self-starting attitude;
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills;
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English;
• Nice to have: experience with cloud infrastructure such as AWS, GCP, or Heroku; CI/CD pipelines; Docker; Kubernetes; Hotwire; Turbo; StimulusJS in a modern Rails stack.
