frontend developer for merchant account experience

Primer provides unified infrastructure for global payments, giving finance and payments teams visibility and control to reduce complexity, improve performance, and capture more revenue through a single platform. Its Account Experience team builds and owns the platform merchants use to interact with Primer, from initial setup through day-to-day operations, including Primer AI Companion.

• Own frontend projects end-to-end, from scoping through production, across payment surfaces, checkout components, and merchant-facing tools
• Lead architectural decisions for frontend systems, contribute to design sessions, and produce RFCs and ADRs
• Build composable, performant, and adaptable UI
• Monitor production impact using metrics and dashboards, proactively catch issues, and take ownership of fixes
• Maintain a high quality bar for code and raise concerns about quality issues in the codebase
• Lead incident response, drive issues to resolution, and keep stakeholders informed
• Share knowledge and help improve the quality and confidence of other engineers

• Solid frontend engineering experience and a track record of independently delivering production-grade work across the full lifecycle
• Extensive experience with TypeScript; web components experience is preferred
• Ability to scope projects, plan architecture, and deliver independently
• Strong understanding of building accessible, performant, maintainable UI at scale
• Ability to contribute to architecture discussions and clearly articulate trade-offs
• Ability to write clean, well-tested, high-quality code
• Understanding of the user and business context behind the work
• Clear, direct communication, especially in async-first environments
