Flutter Engineer

You know that feeling when an app just works? Fast, intuitive, no friction. That's not accidental – it's crafted. At Funda, we build those kinds of experiences for millions of users for one of the biggest moments in their lives: finding a home. And we do it using Flutter: one powerful codebase, across platforms.

So if you get excited about clean UI, smart architecture and shipping features that instantly make an impact… you'll feel right at home here.

Your job in a nutshell

As a Flutter Developer at Funda, you'll help build one of the most visited platforms in the Netherlands. You'll develop features that go live on both iOS and Android at the same time, while contributing to the migration from our native apps to Flutter.

You won't be working in isolation. Together with web developers, designers and other teams, you will create a seamless experience across the entire platform. Less code, more impact.

On our Engineering blog: Scaling Flutter development; UI composition in a multi-team setup

• Build new features in Flutter used by millions of consumers
• Contribute to migrating native components to a shared codebase
• Develop intuitive, high-quality user interfaces
• Collaborate on architectural decisions and technical improvements
• Work closely with designers and other teams to deliver the best UX

Why being a Flutter Developer at Funda is awesome

• Your work reaches millions of users instantly visible and impactful
• With 5 Flutter devs and 70 engineers you work in a relatively small engineering organisation, which means real ownership and direct influence on what we build (no layers, no endless handovers)
• You work closely with designers and engineers to push the app experience forward

How we recently shifted from native to cross-platform: Our transition to Flutter

This is you

• You have 5 years of experience as an engineer, of which at least 2 years with Flutter (preferably in a complex product environment)
• You think from a user perspective, but understand what's happening under the hood
• You have experience working with APIs (REST) and backend systems (.NET environment)
• You enjoy collaborating and actively engage with your team
• You bring ideas to the table and you're not afraid to challenge the status quo
• You're currently living in the Netherlands and speak fluent English (Dutch is a plus)

You'll join one of our product teams within Funda Engineering. Each team has its own domain, but shares the same mindset: ownership, collaboration and room to experiment. You'll work with developers, designers and product owners who care about quality just as much as you do.
