What is this role about?

As a Senior Data Platform Engineer, you’ll take ownership of the data platform powering Bondora’s journey towards becoming a bank.

You’ll be responsible for our Databricks platform, Azure infrastructure, ingestion pipelines, and integration layer. Our platform already works well; your mission will be to make it exceptional through strong ownership, reliable engineering, clear governance, and scalable standards.

This is a rare opportunity to shape how data engineering is done across the company. You won’t simply maintain pipelines—you’ll define the platform, standards, tools, and ways of working that enable teams to build trusted data products across Marketing, Operations, Identity, and Finance.

You’ll enjoy a high degree of ownership, a diverse set of technical and business problems, and an environment where engineers are empowered to make decisions. You’ll also get to work with the latest technologies, including agentic coding. If you discover a tool that could make us more productive, show us what it can do and help us put it to work.

Your early impact will include taking ownership of critical pipelines, eliminating recurring failures, identifying and preparing orphaned jobs for handover, and parallelizing our largest ingestion pipelines.
