Data engineer in media measurement

A global leader in media measurement. Its data shows what the world watches across TV, streaming and digital in more than 80 countries. Following a major private equity investment, the business is building its own data engineering team in Barcelona, and is hiring the first three people to shape it.

• Design, build and optimise data pipelines in PySpark and Databricks
• Write efficient, well-tested SQL and Python
• Add data quality checks, monitoring and automated tests
• Contribute to CI/CD, code reviews and the team’s engineering standards
• Use AI coding tools (GitHub Copilot and similar) as part of everyday work
• mentor the team, set standards and work with stakeholders and the delivery partner

• Hands-on experience with Databricks, PySpark and SQL
• Experience with Azure, or another major cloud platform and a willingness to move across
• Python, Git and orchestration tools such as Airflow
• A strong sense of ownership and a focus on data quality
• experience leading or mentoring engineers
• Good English and Spanish
