Data engineer in martech

We are looking for a (Senior) Data Engineer who will act as a technical mentor, define our architecture, and bring best practices to our Google Cloud ecosystem. You will step away from the daily grind of closing simple coding tickets to become a «force multiplier» for the rest of the team.

• Designing scalable Google Cloud data architectures from the ground up, effectively filling some workloads of a Cloud Architect.
• Moderating discovery sessions, translating architectural concepts into business value, and challenging client requests during pre-sales and project phases.
• Transforming ETL scripts into standardized ELT frameworks, implementing metadata-driven architectures, and defining rules for orchestration.
• Designing and implementing security standards, audit logging, and data quality monitoring.
• Acting as the technical mentor for the team through pair programming, setting technical standards, and conducting code reviews.

• Minimum 5 years of commercial experience in data engineering with Google Cloud
• Google Cloud Professional Data Engineer certification (expected or to be obtained within the first month of work).
• Advanced knowledge of the Google Cloud ecosystem: BigQuery, Cloud Storage, Pub/Sub, BigTable, Dataflow, Dataproc, Cloud Functions/Run, IAM, Networking
• Practical experience with Git, CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions/Cloud Build), and Infrastructure as Code (e.g., Terraform), as well as Airflow.
• Advanced SQL skills (window functions, partitioning, clustering in BQ) and Python proficiency.
• You know how to write clean code and can optimize queries and cloud costs effectively.
• Excellent communication skills to act as a technical partner for external stakeholders.
• English proficiency at a minimum B2 level.
