Data engineer:in in Mobilität

Within DB Systel, we are a team that uses the capabilities of the MS Azure technology stack for data and analytics questions and is always at the forefront of using and exploring new Azure services. We offer all services from a single source: from data engineering, development and operations in DevOps mode, and data visualization to consulting.

• You design, develop and operate modern data platforms and data applications based on Microsoft Fabric and DB Systel's Data Management Platform.
• Together with the project team and our internal Group customers, you develop future-proof solutions for complex data and analytics requirements, both as PoCs and in production.
• You are responsible for integrating, transforming and providing data from different sources, and delivering it to various target systems.
• You focus on automation by building efficient CI / CD pipelines and on ensuring data quality through comprehensive unit and end-to-end tests.
• By helping shape standards and best practices, you influence the further development of our data and analytics landscape.
• As a subject matter contact, you advise internal and external stakeholders on architecture and technology decisions.
• You use AI as a natural tool in your day-to-day work, apply it responsibly, and support customers and colleagues in harnessing AI's potential for their business and technical challenges.

• You have successfully completed a degree in computer science, business informatics, mathematics or natural sciences, or have an equivalent qualification.
• Several years of experience in data engineering enable you to solve complex challenges independently and in a structured manner.
• You have in-depth knowledge of Microsoft Azure and practical project experience with Microsoft Fabric. You are also very familiar with data architectures, lakehouse concepts, and ETL / ELT processes.
• You have experience providing technical consulting on challenging projects.
• You have practical experience using AI-powered development tools, such as Copilot solutions, generative AI or intelligent assistant systems, in software and data engineering.
• Analytical thinking, high quality standards and the ability to explain complex relationships clearly are among your strengths.
• With your strong communication skills, you act as a valued sparring partner for business units, project teams and management.
• Fluent German and English skills complete your profile.
• Non-EU citizens must have a valid work permit for Germany. Applications without a valid work permit and sufficient German language skills may not be considered.

• This is a “Work Where You Want” job: in agreement with your manager, you can choose where in Germany you work and decide between working remotely and working in the office. Your official office will be specified in your employment contract. If several locations are advertised, this will be decided in a discussion between you and your manager.
• We offer you 16 free journeys within Germany per year and additional travel discounts, such as a DB Job Ticket for your daily commute. There are also discounted travel options for family and friends.
• You achieve great things and get great things in return: a market-rate salary package, usually with a permanent contract and job security, as well as a variety of additional benefits and an occupational pension scheme.
• Fascinating projects and assignments at one of the country's most diverse employers will challenge your skills and give you the opportunity to make your mark.
