data engineer in iGaming

The client is a gaming company focused on responsible gaming, player protection, fraud prevention, and operating a safe gaming environment across Lucky Games, Casino Games, and Betting Games.

• Support the migration from Pentaho to dbt by rewriting, modeling, and modernizing existing data transformations;
• Build, maintain, and optimize SQL-based ELT pipelines;
• Work with Google Cloud Platform components, especially BigQuery, in a cloud-native data environment;
• Collaborate with data engineers, analysts, and business teams.

• At least 3 years of experience as a Data Engineer or in a similar role;
• Strong SQL experience;
• Experience with data pipelines or ETL/ELT workflows;
• Ability to understand and improve existing data models and logic;
• Willingness to learn dbt and modern ELT practices if not already familiar;
• Nice to have: experience with Google BigQuery, hands-on dbt experience with dbt Core or dbt Cloud, experience with Pentaho, knowledge of cloud-based data architecture and version-controlled development.
