• Build enablement components across the data platform;
• Monitor and support platform capabilities;
• Develop and maintain documentation for data systems and processes;
• Participate in code and design reviews and provide constructive feedback;
• Automate workflows and processes where possible;
• Mentor junior team members;
• Provide guidance and best practices to application teams;
• Build lightweight tooling and reference patterns for platform adoption;
• Implement infrastructure for users to build, host, monitor, and deploy applications;
• Provide consultancy across the technology organisation to drive platform adoption and unlock use cases;
• Promote data quality and governance across the platform.

• Strong engineering background with experience implementing and owning data platform components;
• Strong experience with cloud data warehousing technologies, including BigQuery optimisation and FinOps;
• Experience with modern cloud-based stacks such as AWS, Azure, or GCP;
• Excellent SQL skills;
• Strong programming skills in at least one of Python, Java, Scala, or C#;
• Mentoring experience and a collaborative approach;
• Ability to understand underlying problems before proposing solutions;
• Ability to drive best practices across teams and organisations;
• Nice to have: Articles, podcasts, meetups, or conference talks.
