Data engineer in finance

Currently, for our client in the financial sector, we are looking for a candidate for the position of Data Engineer/PostgreSQL (M/F).

• Designing, developing, and maintaining PostgreSQL-based database solutions.
• Creating and developing procedures, functions, and triggers in PL/pgSQL.
• Designing and developing data models that support the business and analytical needs of the organization.
• Analyzing database performance, identifying bottlenecks, and implementing optimization measures.
• Tuning SQL queries, indexes, and data processing processes to ensure high system performance.
• Designing and optimizing ETL processes and data integrations from various sources.
• Working with large volumes of data and developing solutions to support Big Data environments.
• Monitoring database health and ensuring the stability, security, and availability of the environment.
• Collaborating with development, analytics, and architecture teams on data-driven projects.
• Participating in the automation of deployment processes and developing CI/CD solutions.
• Supporting the development of data architecture and implementing best practices related to data management.

• You have at least 5 years of experience working with PostgreSQL databases.
• You have a very good knowledge of SQL and can create advanced queries and optimize their performance.
• You have experience in data modeling, designing relational structures, and normalizing and denormalizing data models.
• You work confidently with PL/pgSQL, creating stored procedures, functions, and triggers.
• You can analyze and optimize database performance, including in environments processing large volumes of data.
• You know PostgreSQL architecture and practically use mechanisms such as table partitioning, materialized views, and various types of indexes (B-Tree, Hash, GIN, GiST, BRIN).
• You have experience monitoring database performance and managing VACUUM, ANALYZE, and autovacuum processes.
• You have practical knowledge of ETL integration and data processing optimization.
• You work in a Linux environment and are comfortable administering and diagnosing systems.
• You can analyze query execution plans and effectively tune indexes and ETL processes.
